GOD’S PROMISE OF LIFE!!

What is God’s promise of life? Do you know? or Do you “think” that you know? What are the facts, God’s facts? You do know, that God made promises to people, humans, about life and living long lives. What are your own beliefs, or personal persuasions, about the life which God had promised to give to humans? And, I’m not talking about what you would like for the promise of God to be, I am speaking of what you genuinely believe.

I listen to people, and what they say they believe, and then I listen, to their “actual” beliefs. Most people, have a public belief and a private belief, when it comes to life, and God’s promise of life. The public belief, consists mostly of what their “group” or “cultural” beliefs are, that is what they know to be the popular belief about life, among the people in their particular “religious or cultural group.” The private belief, is made up of their actual personal persuasion, about what they think personally, about their own life, and where it leads (and most of the time their personal persuasion, does not line up or agree, with their religious or cultural beliefs). For example, a preacher may preach to people, and tell his congregation what he believes the word of God says, about God’s promises of life on earth, but in his own private persuasion, he does not expect that life for himself. It could be, because of the realities he is confronted with, in his own private life, or it could be based on what he sees happening around him. And thus, his own personal persuasion and expectations of life, are influenced and directed, based on his surroundings, rather than what he believes God said in His word. The same applies to you as an individual, your faith in God, and expectations of God, can, and most probably are, being influenced by the environment you find yourself in, and by the people around you. Yes, you do have your own religious or “spiritual beliefs,” based on the beliefs of the “religious group” you belong to, but even so, you are an individual, and you do have your own individual experience of life on earth, and you may profess your beliefs to your religious group, but you also have personal expectations and persuasions, when it comes to your own life. And the realities you find yourself surrounded by, most probably, does have an impact on you, and what you ultimately expect from God, and think God will give to, and do in your life.

The thing with God and His promises is, that God wants you to live by faith, and according to God, the quality of your whole life, will be determined by the quality of your faith.

''The just shall live by his faith.''(Habakkuk 2:4 KJV)

A very familiar verse, among the people who read the word of God, but very little understood. I know, it is such a simple verse, yet very profound, and so profound, that a lot of people, including preachers, miss, or do not see, the depth of that verse. And if you lack knowledge… you perish. (Hosea 4:6) And if you know Hosea 4:6, then you will know, that God speaks of “My people perish from lack of knowledge.” That is God’s people. And since you read my posts, I assume you do it, because you consider yourself as one of God’s people. Well, let’s give you a little knowledge then, and extend your life through that knowledge. It is clear to me, that most people on earth, does have some “spiritual or religious” persuasion, about how long their lives should or ought to be, according to their particular religion, but all those persuasions, are not exactly in agreement, because people believe different things. Which religion, or spiritual belief, is the possessor of Truth, about God, or The Creators of the world? Are any of them right, or are all of them wrong? What is God saying about it all?

“Darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples.” (Isaiah 60:2)

With all the different religions, and the great abundance of gods to choose from, it is clear, to almost all people, that someone somewhere, is worshiping a false god. With so many gods to choose from, which God, is The True God? To every person, their god, is The True God, and all the others are false gods, even you have that persuasion. According to you, the god which you personally acknowledge as God, is The True God, and I assume, that since you are here, that it is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, or The LORD God Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth. Since this is the “God” I am talking about, I will elaborate on His word and wisdom. Since there is such confusion and darkness covering the earth, and the people of the earth, God’s promise is, that His light (Christ) will come to the just, or those who repent of their sins.

“The Redeemer will come to Zion, to those who repent of their sins,” declares the LORD. (Isaiah 59:20)

I speak of this, so you can understand “who” God identifies as the just, those people who repent of their sins, because just now, all people who say that they believe in a god, will assume that they now qualify as the just. The just are those, who turn away from evil and pursue righteousness, that is what it means to repent, to acknowledge your wrongs and turn away from them, to embrace the right. You are not the just simply, because of your belief, that there is a God somewhere, no, you have to stop being wicked and embrace righteousness. Believing in the existence of a God or Creator, won’t make you just, being righteous will.

“I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my God. For He has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness.” (Isaiah 61:10)

If “your God” is the God of Zion (the city of God), then you must embrace righteousness, to be seen as the just, by the God of Zion.

“I will make peace your governor and righteousness your ruler. No longer will violence be heard in your land, nor ruin or destruction within your borders, but you will call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise. The LORD will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory… the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end. Then will all your people be righteous and they will possess the land for ever.” (Isaiah 60:18-21)

This promise, and many like this, are being made to the just, or the righteous, the people of the God of Zion. If this is your God, and you are righteous, then you qualify for the life that is promised to the people of the God of Zion.

“’The LORD has made proclamation to the ends of the earth: “Say to the daughter of Zion, ‘See, your Saviour comes! See His reward is with Him, and His recompense accompanies Him.’” (Isaiah 62:11)

And this is His recompense:

“Be glad and rejoice for ever in what I will create, for I will create Jerusalem to be a delight and its people a joy. I will rejoice over Jerusalem and take delight in My people; the sound of weeping and of crying will be heard in it no more.

Never again will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, or an old man who does not live out his years; he who dies at a hundred will be thought a mere youth; he who fails to reach a hundred will be considered accursed.

They will build houses and dwell in them; they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit. No longer will they build houses and others live in them, or plant and others eat. For as the days of a tree, so will be the days of My people; My chosen ones will long enjoy the works of their hands. They will not toil in vain or bear children doomed to misfortune; for they will be a people blessed by the LORD, they and their descendants with them. (Isaiah 65:18-23)

That is God’s promise of life to the just. And take note, that the promise is to “My people,” the righteous. And I know, that everybody who believes in the God of Zion (the City of God), desires to be God’s chosen ones, the Truth is, that the blessing of the God of Zion, will come to those who repent of their sins, and embrace righteousness. They are the people, to whom the blessing will come, all the people of Zion who are righteous, to them the Saviour comes, the Redeemer comes to those in Zion, who repent of their sins. To them the promise of life is made.

I said earlier that the verse:

''The just shall live by his faith.''(Habakkuk 2:4 KJV)

possesses a lot of depth and hidden Truth, I will show you some of it. The first part of that verse is very specific: “the just” identifies a particular type of person, who qualifies in the sight of God. There can be millions or billions of people, but if none of them are “the just,” then none of them will qualify in the sight of God to live, no matter how numerous they are. (Remember the story of Noah, where only one man and his family were saved from death, and the rest of mankind died- humans are easy to replace) They are not qualified for the life God promised, and so they do not live, they die (Even those who call themselves the just, but who really are not, and their behaviour reveals who and what they Truly are). You have to understand, that God’s word said, “the just shall live,” not the world, or those who walk in darkness, it says, that God’s light will come to those who repent and become righteous. That verse says, “the just shall live,” and it means exactly that, “the just shall live.” I know that you want to live, every person who considers themselves as the just, wants to live, even those who knows that they are not the just, wants to live, but that short phrase says a whole lot more about the destiny of the righteous, that they will live. The problem with a lot of people is, that they follow conflicting teachings and doctrines, which completely contradicts this very verse, and they abandon the Truth to follow a lie. The just shall live, that is what God said, and by his faith, but if you abandon this very verse, to embrace another teaching, contradicting this Truth, then how will you live, when you do not believe what God said? Your faith is important; you will live by faith, your faith. God made the declaration; your faith should embrace it, and kick everything else out.

‘“Suppose there is a righteous man who does what is just and right. He follows My decrees and faithfully keeps My laws.
That man is righteous; he will surely live,” declares the Sovereign LORD. “’ (Ezekiel 18)
